• HEAR A ONE-HOUR INTERVIEW WITH JIM B. ON VANCOUVER BC'S "INKSTUDS" RADIO SHOW! I recently did a one-hour live interview on Vancouver, BC radio station CITR 101.9 FM-- The show is called INKSTUDS, hosted by Robin McConnell, with guest hosts Don King, and Luke Meat-- They let me pick out the music for it, too-- I sound like a total geek at times, but what the hell-- I am a total geek! You can listen to it or download here--

• "ENTARTETE KUNTS" ART SHOW OPENING = A TOTAL BLAST! I bombed down to Portland with fellow Okie degenerate Stevo Winters for the opening of the excellent "Entartete Kunts" group show currated by DESTROYING ANGELS magazine's Dennis Dread-- I was honored to be in the show, along with Ed Repka, Jeff Gaither, Sean Taggart, Stephen Blickenstaff, Mark Riddick, Scott Stearns, Ross Sewage, Sean McGrath, and Dennis Dread-- We even ran into "Klutch" (or "Rusty" as we remembered him), an old Okie punk rock artist pal of Stevo's and mine, whom we hadn't seen in 20+ years! • "FILTHY BEASTS" ART SHOW/ROCK SHOW = A ROUSINGLY GOOD TIME! The "Filthy Beasts" show at the Fantagraphics Bookstore was a huge success-- A packed house heard a rockin' set by The DT's and checked out the art, books, and records for sale-- A drunk-assed Indian named Chief Swimming Eagle (see photo above) showed up and bewildered everyone-- Then he drank about 26 beers-- We got tons of press and hype from this show, thanks in large part to the promo-wizardry of Larry Reid-- Here are some links for FILTHY BEASTS opening night stuff: Kelly O's blog write-up for The Stranger is here. • "FILTHY BEASTS" SILKSCREEN PRINT BY ART CHANTRY NOW AVAILABLE! I managed to secure a small stash of ART CHANTRY's killer 4-color silkscreen print for the art show I did at the Fantagraphics Bookstore in March-- These are really slick and only 75 of them were printed, most of which are long-gone-- They are 28 X 22 inches, printed on coated white stock, and feature mug shot art I did years ago-- Signed very faintly with a yellow hi-liter marker by both Art and myself-- VERY LIMITED QUANTITIES!! • "FILTHY BEASTS", A MULTI-PRONGED THROWDOWN IN GEORGETOWN, WA OPENS MARCH 10, 2007! I'm super psyched about this combo artshow/book-signing/record release party at the new Fantagraphics bookstore/gallery in Georgetown (South Seattle's industrial wonderland)-- I will have original art from the BEASTS AND PRIESTS book on display and for sale-- The opening night blowout will also be a record release party for The Dt's (my wife's band!) new FILTHY HABITS CD/LP, and they will be performing live! If you're anywhere near Seattle, come on down for a guaranteed rockin' night-- Design genius ART CHANTRY has even provided a 4-panel silkscreen poster for this event!
